Glucosamine is a natural amino sugar that occurs naturally in the human body. It is a component of connective tissue, cartilage, and synovial fluid. Glucosamine can be used both as a pharmaceutical agent for degenerative joint diseases (such as osteoarthritis) and cosmetically in creams, gels, drops, or lotions. Our glucosamine KCL is available from both animal sources (derived via deacetylation of shellfish followed by addition of potassium chloride) and non-animal sources (produced by fermentation of corn starch with potassium chloride).
